I am a writer and literary critic with a Bachelor of Arts in English, summa cum laude, and a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the National English Honor Society, who has a deep love for the stories that shape how we understand ourselves and each other. My work lives at the intersection of fiction and critical thought, and I love any and every opportunity to explore the human condition. I write dark fantasy that explores identity, power, and the cost of becoming, and I write literary criticism that asks what stories are really doing beneath the surface.
I am currently at work on a dark fantasy novel and a critical essay on identity and dual oppression in Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn, examining how class and gender work together to shape a character before she ever has the chance to define herself. I believe genre fiction, especially fantasy fiction, deserves the same rigorous, serious attention as any literary canon, and I bring that conviction to everything I write and analyze.
My background spans creative writing, academic criticism, and professional communication. I have taught across multiple grade levels as a substitute teacher, translating complex ideas for diverse audiences — a skill I carry into every writing project. I thrive in collaborative, creative environments, and I am especially drawn to work that values both precision and imagination.
I am available for writing, editing, content development, and criticism. If you are looking for someone who brings genuine intellectual curiosity and a love of language to the work, I would love to connect!
Current favorite reads: The Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin and The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb — though honestly, the entire Realm of the Elderlings saga is a required reading.
